How do you get your sims to cook?

You buy fish from the grocery store, go home, click on the Sims who bought the fish inventory then drag the fish to the refrigerator. When you click on the fridge an option involving a recipe which has fish in it should come up. Click on it. There you go your Sim will make the food now.

you have to have a stove and click it or the fridge but if you want to cook different food you have to buy every cooking book in the store.

click on the stove or the fridge or even a microwave if u want to and it gives you an option to make a meal or get a quick snack also if you cant actually be bothered to make them cook you can either do

ctrl shift c and type in testingCheatsEnabled true

or

while holding shift click on the letterbox and click on make all happy it makes your sims needs all full so you don't have to worry about a thing on there you can also make all the other sims know them you can make some of the sims know them, you can set there career levels and stuff like that

You have to have your sim watch the cooking channel on its tv and it should have a blue bar on the top of its head and thats how you can improve the skill. Also by reading cooking books, cooking the same meal everyday until its perfect, and also by choosing your sims traits it has an option to choose: Natural Cook which will make your sim learn to cook faster and improve the skill!
