How do you go single player in team fortress 2?

Please note: Since Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer game, you can only play Offline Practice in offline mode. How to play offline:

1. Start Steam in Offline mode (make sure TF2 is downloaded)

2. Launch Team Fortress

3. Select Training and Offline Practice.

A 2010 update now allows for a single player "practice" mode. Simply click on the target looking icon on the main screen to play.

Team Fortress 2 does not have any type of Single-Player mode. You can, though, practice alone on standard maps with bots.
