If you want easy kills, get rid of the assault rifle in every level and get a battle rifle or carbine for easy headshots all the time. Needlers and Brute Shots are the main Brute killing weapons, so you might want to find that occasionally. Cover is the most important thing in Legendary, so don't think that it is a waste of time. Also, in parts when the enemy doesn't know you're there(like in the Ark), go for assassinations, and for that, memorize the enemy patterns. Hope that helped!
