To reduce lag in DeSmuME, you can adjust the emulator's settings by lowering the "Frame Skip" option and enabling the "Turbo Mode" for faster emulation. Additionally, you can lower the screen resolution and disable unnecessary graphical enhancements like 3D filtering. Ensure that your computer's power settings are optimized for performance, and consider closing other applications running in the background to free up resources.
THIS WILL FIX YOUR LAG DESMUME AND MAKE IT RUN LIKE D.S. IT WILL SOLVE 100% TO YOUR SLOW DESMUME.... Here it is first, 1.Open your dEsmuME emulator.. 2.Go to config.. 3.Go to 3d settings check all the box.. and change renderer to softrasterizer 4.Go to sound settings and the synchronization mode must be "Dual SPU Synch", sound core is "direct sound interface" interpolation is"none, fastest(sounds bad) buffer size is "5880" .. uncheck (advance SPU LOGIC).. 5.Go to emulation settings uncheck all the boxes.. 6.Go to frame skip...check "limit framerate" and "auto minimize skipping" and check "1".
Um...What?

You can't. Desmume 9.7 doesn't have a cheat code option. You should probably download an earlier version of desmume if you want cheat codes on your game.
you can look up videos on youtube on how to make your desmume run faster, if it still runs slow its because your using a laptop. i don't know what it is but desmume seems to run slow when you are chargin your laptop or if you have the power cord plugged in. that's what happens to me so i unplug my power cord and it runs faster. hope this helps.

To get DeSmuME to stop lagging, go to Configuration, then Frameskip. Set the frameskip to 9, and limit the frame rate. That should get DeSmuME to a speed where it almost never lags, and never goes too fast.
