How do you make a helm?

What kind of helmet are you talking about? You can make bronze,iron,steel,mithril,adamantite, and rune helmets using the Smithing skill. you have to smelt the metals, then use a hammer at an anvil. but like the answer above says, you have to be the right level.

In a 3x3 crafting bench, place down leather, iron, diamond, or gold in a upside down boat.
you know the 3x3 crafting table?

put 3 leather,iron,gold,diamond or fire(fire only availible by hack) acrossand put one of whatever you put across underneath the far left and right
