How do you make a repeater in Minecraft?

At your crafting table, place a row of stone blocks at the bottom of the grid, a torch in the middle left and middle right slots, and a unit of redstone dust in the middle.

Note: It has to be smooth stone, not cobblestone.

Repeaters can be made slightly slower by right clicking them when they are on the ground, taking up to 0.4 seconds to pass the current to the next block.
