How do you make a team battle in super smash bros?

When you enter the game it will have 6 buttons: Group, Solo, Nintendo Wifi thingy, Vault, Options and Data. Go into Group then go into Brawl. Theirs a back button at the top left corner right next to that it says brawl. Click it and it will turn to team mode

On the top left hand corner of the player selection on melee, there is single battle, and if you click it, it becomes team play.

in vs. mode, go to the top left hand corner, where it says melee. click that and it says team melee. change color to change team (there are only green blue and red teams)

There is no team attack in brawl but you can try grabbing your opponent while your team hits them while their in your grasp.
