Just go into its files
There should be a file called server.properties
Edit it so it says gamemode: 1
Your own server, no unless you make other people pay to get on. Public Servers, depends on the person running the server.
To make yourself creative on Minecraft, simple type "/gamemode creative" (excluding parenthesis) and to go back to survival, type "/gamemode survival" - pretty simple. If you wish to make somebody else creative, type "/gamemode (username) creative" and this should put them in creative. For example, "/gamemode MinecraftPlayer creative" - in case you don't get it. Make sure you are an OP, as an additional note. To OP yourself, go on the server console and type in "op (your username)" without the / this time (the console won't recognize it!)
There may be several reasons you would be unable to connect to your own server on Minecraft. First check to make sure you have not typed in the Ip address wrong. Second, make sure you are running the latest Minecraft server software(You have to download a new version after every Minecraft update). Thirdly, you cannot connect to a server using the computer that is running the said server.
Minecraft has made it very easy to make a multiplayer server. Simply go to minecraft.net and download the server .exe. Type in the IP address of the computer you are running the server on and you will connect to your new server! Please note that you will have to port forward your server for people to be able to connect to it from the internet.
Make sure one laptop is running the "server". The server can still play, but it MUST be running a server. Otherwise both laptops are looking for a server. If there is a server, check firewall permissions on both laptops - if one is a problem, then it won't work correctly.
any server that will trust you and the admins like you and you have not done anything bad like griefing or spamming and there is a reason why you would make a good addition.
Craftbook has not been updated for the new version of bukkit so it may make errors when running.
To make your Minecraft world open to anyone at any time, you need to set up a server. You can use Minecraft Realms for a simple, hosted option, or create your own server using software like Spigot or Bukkit. Once your server is running, adjust the settings to allow for public access, ensuring that the "online-mode" is set to false if you're running a private server without authentication. Finally, share your server's IP address with friends or the public to allow them to join.
ok..the last person who put the answer must not know anything about minecraft...i play it alot and i know that this is what u do: if u are on a server then just change ur game mode by typing: /<player> gamemode 1.....which changes it to creative and 0 is survival...so thats how....also if u are in single player and want to make it a server just take the map and put it into the server prperties but rename it world.....done and done
Tobex is now known as RS-PS. They provide web clients which are used to connect to a server and play it. In order to have your own server you must be running a server. you may want to take a look at Moparscape, Rune-Server, or RuneLocus for help on starting a server, or the rs-ps forum for a tutorial.
