How do you make your pet attack in wizard 101?

pets have a small chance of attacking but when they do its a good one but theres a small chance of attacking.no mine never been you need to put a spell for it

Only a battle pet can attack on aqw like pet that you got from necromancer class or horc evader class or darkside class
