How do you play Call of Duty Black Ops online for the PS3?

you go to options, where you can change the button and stick layouts. however, you can not assign certain buttons their own actions (i.e. you cannot manually change up on the d-pad to act as the grenade button)

First you have to create a PSN Id. This can be done from the Ps3 main menu under the PlayStation Network tab. After you have an account you go to the Black ops main menu and select "Multiplayer" then select "Find Match"
