With the 'Splash Movie' action in the 'Main 2' tab
You cannot import an AVI into game maker 7.0 pro or lite. BUT, with game maker 8.0, you can make a splash screen consisting of an AVI. OR if you really want your AVI in your game, you can convert your AVI into a short GIF.
Answer I: Windows movie maker is a totally free avi to wmv converter. # Import avi video into WMM. # Save video in wmv format. (Pulish to computer, don't save a project file)
it is not possibly........
When you record something with Action! the video screen program, the avi video is either not processed or somthing becouse windows movie maker has to convert it which glitches out and never does so i cant edit the video.
The most common video format (in my opinion) that is used in Windows Movie Maker is either .avi or .mpeg.
Make sure your file is actually compatible with the program. AVI stands for Audio Video Interleave which is simply the 'packaging' the file is coded with. Since not all AVI's are created equal (not packaged the same way), some avi's can't be read by some media players.Windows Movie Maker is one of those players that requires extra 'codecs' in order to play particular video files. You can download these free codecs for your player online. The one I use is called the K-Lite Codec Package (Basic Download). Google K-Lite Codecs and download the basic package. Then you should be able to play the avi file.
You need a video file converter to open AVI files in Windows Movie Maker (and some other applications).Video converters are available online. Simply Google: free video converters. Once you have downloaded one, you can convert the AVI to any file name extension(format) you like.
Pivot files must be converted (Saved As) GIFS before they can be exported in a Standard Video Format such as .avi. And too, you will still need a video editor of some sort regardless of whether or not you decide to use Windows Movie Maker.
Video formats compatible with Windows Movie Maker:.asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmv
Yes
Windows movie maker can only use certain formats (file types) such as .wmv or .avi
The reason it won't play is because the audio is not compatible with the Windows Movie Maker program. Convert your Tocco video to one of the following file name extensions (formats):.asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmv
