Korfball is played by two teams of eight players each, with four male and four female players on each team. The objective is to score by throwing a ball through a high hoop (korf) mounted on a pole. Players must defend their opponents but can only mark players of the opposite sex. The game consists of two halves, and teams switch ends at halftime to promote fairness in gameplay.
