All of the expansion packs are a part of one game, so after you have installed more than one expansion pack, it will just be added to the sims game that you already have. Although, you will need to run the game using the latest expansion pack of your collection
All of the Sims 2 expansion packs must be installed on your machine and they must be installed in the order in which they were released to the public. After you've installed all of them, you simply need to use the icon for the most recent expansion pack you own to start the game. The game will automatically load all of the expansion packs when loading the game. When inside the game, you will notice all the icon in the upper left hand corner in Neighborhood view. This is what tells you all of the expansion packs you have installed correctly and are running while playing the game.
Yes, just buy whatever expansion pack you want, then play. If you install another one, they just join on, I have Nightlife, University and Open For Buisness all at the same time.
Well you just buy them from a store and install them on a computer. And play, thats it. It combines all of them for you.
yup
No, only expansion packs made for Sims 2 will work. Sims 1-3 are all different games with specific packs made to go with them.

Yes you do.
It's because it's just an expansion pack. When you play Sims 2 the features of the expansion packs are in the game.
