The objective of klondike solitaire (also called "solitaire") is to put all of the card types (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades) into piles, starting with an ace ending with a king in numerical order.

I added a link that goes through it in more detail, but the basics are that you can add cards on top of each other in descending order K --> Q --> J --> 10 --> 9 --> 8 --> 7 --> 6 --> 5 --> 4 --> 3 --> 2 --> A, but they have to be alternating red and black. The Aces can be placed up on the top spaces and built up from Ace to King in ascending order (Ace to King), but by individual suit... so the 2 of hearts can only go on the Ace of hearts, etc.

... there are other Windows solitaire games which are played differently, but this is how you play the most basic one, just called solitaire and not called Freecell or Spider Solitaire, or other names.

A traditional mahjong set consists of tiles in pairs of identical count and suit, as well as themed sets of four different tiles (flowers and seasons). Any two tiles from the flowers or seasons set are considered matching.

A mahjong solitaire layout can use only part of a set of tiles, or as many as six sets at a time. The tiles are arrayed face up in a block three tiles deep, or any number of other patterns. The object of the game is to select available, matching tiles and to remove them from the board. Tiles are said to be "available" if they are on the top of their stack, and can be removed by sliding them out to the side.
