How do you put the cheats in on Lego batman?

If you go into the shop and type in youre cheat code, the cheat will be a red brick. To use it you must pause while on a level or freeplay, click the red brick sign in the bottom left corner. From there you can turn on your cheats(red bricks, which you can also find in certain levels) You can not use red bricks in multiplayer. Your cheats arn't always red bricks, sometimes you unlock characters, and to unlock santa(who is actually very good) you turn your DS date to Christmas Day.

go to the bat cave and to the computer there if you look around in the computer you will find where to enter cheat codes

You go to the shop where you can buy spells for your wand. You enter the shop, then go up the stairs to the left and input the codes.
