My superstar was mlb and i tried to retire after 16 seasons but i couldn't so i played for 3 more seasons and i didn't get choice it said right after the Super Bowl victory it said "you've had a good run but i think its time to call it quits." And i retired right there. So just keep playing ibthink it has something to do with what position u choose
