This works for basically any sims game:

On your home screen, right click the icon of the sims, sims generations, sims pets, ect...

Click 'Open file location'

This should take you to some files.

Scroll down and you should see something called 'TS3' and TS3W'.

Click 'TS3'

And you're done! :)
