To save, when on the season enter the Start menu, select "Save", then "Save" again, then choose a save slot (or overwrite an older save). Then you can quit by selecting "Quit" on the pause menu. Then, when you want to continue, on the Start menu select Gamemodes, then Season, then choose Load and select the slot you saved in earlier.
