When you go to the fields to start riding, hit map and follow it to a set place. then ride over to there and there should be two poles that you ride through to start

1) Your horse must meet a certain skill level to enter each competitive race (whether a practice or race day)
2) Raise your horses skill level by galloping over jumps
3) Your horse can Earn upto 6 SKILL ponits per jump (1st = +++, 2nd = ++, 3rd = +), after the 3rd no more skill is earned on that jump/that day
4) Once your horse has enough skill, enter the race on a weds or sun (game day) to beat the max time & earn money!
5) Each race can only be WON & earn money 1 time (regardless if you enter on a different horse or not)
6) You can only win money one race per day
Tip) It is recommended you build your horses strength by galloping, all over until no more energy (this improves the horses stamina, equaling better race times/slower to tire)
Tip) You can only build your horse'(s) skill up to the highest race you currently have open/available

You have to get a nun chuck and put it in the controller and than start the game, after it is all loaded and crap, you have to press story mode, and choose a horse, the color, the type of horse and stuff, then you start it, WATCH THE BEGINNING CLIP THINGY WHEN YOU PRESS STORY MODE and then you play!Good luck!
