If you wanna steal on ps2 then when your on base right press L2 to give him a lead anpress L1 and L2 and he steals but if its a good pitch or strikeout then he wont steal and also becareful becuz you might get caught

It is much easier to steal when playing My Player mode. You have to gain quite a bit of speed through Skill points. And once you get high enough you should be able to steal sometimes with ease. On My Player mode you can lead off by hitting the right trigger 4 time (max). Hold down the right trigger and right when the pitcher lifts his leg, let go of the trigger to steal. Good luck!

You have to lead off the bag like 3 or 4 steps (if u want to have more success) and then hold down LT then when you feel the remote vibrate, you press the button (A, B, X, Y) that you are on, then when the pitcher pitches the ball, you fly!! O and don't forget to dive/slide (dive L thumbstick up, slide L thumbstick down)
