How do you turn on skulls in Halo 3?

To turn on the skulls that you find on the campaign, just go to the main menu and go to campaign. Hit the x button and it'll take you straight to the skulls. to turn them on just point to the one you want and press the a button (it might ask you a question but just ignore it).

in halo 2 skulls are activated the second you pick them up. example the blind skull will immediately make master chiefs gun and health, radar, and ammo count disappear. so in short pick them up and they will activate

You cant. Once you get the skulls they activate by themselves. When you get a skull you seen a bright flash for one second then it says the skulls name in the topish right connor. The skull will last from when you get them to when you leave the game or turn off your console. After that next time you play you have to get the skulls again

You can't. Once you get the skull, it just automatically activates for the rest of the game until you turn it off. You want to make sure what skull you want before you activate it.
