How do you unlock all the characters in Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 64?

On single player mode choose any character and choose any mode and beat the game in a short time you will be faced with captain falcon beat him and he will be unlocked, on single player mode choose normal mode and 3 lives and choose any character NEVER lose all your lives and when you beat the game Ness will challenge you beat him and you unlock him, finally if you beat single player mode with any character on any mode and just beat the game you will face jigglypuff defeat her and you unlocked everyone!
