How do you unlock meta knight in Kirby air ride?

Getting Hydra in City is a 3-Step process. Checking my *ahem* 100% complete checklist...you must do the following to unlock Hydra pieces X, Y and Z. Then you can collect all of them in the red boxes in City Trial randomly.

1. Hydra Piece X - Destroy all of the piles of junk in City Trial.
2. Hydra Piece Y - KO enemies in Destruction Derby 150 times total.
3. Hydra Piece Z - KO over 1,500 enemies in Kirby Melee

To get Hydra in Free Trial, you must simply unlock all of these, then you can use Hydra to your hearts content!

That I know of, you cannot unlock Hydra in Air Ride or Top Ride.

He/she is unlocked at the start. Just select "change colour".

This is wrong. He is unlocked by completing the checklist item titled 'City Trial: Break a CPU's machine 5 times or more in the city!', after which you can select the color by pressing X or Y at the Press Start screen while the cursor is hovering over P1.

You don't unlock Kirby melee. You play city trial and end up playing Kirby melee, or you play it in stadium mode.

In Air Ride on ANY star that can fly, go in the air for 30 minutes. (Not in one flight) Celestial Valley is the best place to fly.

In City Trial mode, break open 1,000 boxes. (total)

First defeat 1000 enemies to unlock the Vs King Dedede Stadium. Defeat Dedede in less than a minute in Vs King Dedede to unlock him.

In Free Run, break over 1000 blocks total, and in Air Ride, glide for over 30 minutes total.

Race over 4,500 ft in Machine Passage to unlock the Jet Star.

Beat a two-lap race in Vallerion under 2 minutes 30 seconds.
