The only way I know how to, is to enter the regular chat room. Hold a conversation for about a few minutes, and then after disconnecting there should be a button at the bottom that asks you if you want to volunteer to enter the spy mode as a question answerer. For some reason though, if you disconnect too soon, it doesn't present the option.
I wish there was an easier way to do it but this is the only way I know how to. Hope this helped :D
