How do you win the game of slap jack at poptropica?

The goal is to get all the cards. Slap Jack is similar to the game "Hands Down". Players take a turn putting a card into the pile. When it's a jack, you click it only when it's down on the pile.

In order to trick the other players, if you have a jack, don't put it down right away. Try to get the players to hit the table, not the card. When you lay a jack down, click it immediately. You will get all the cards in the pile.

As soon as some puts a jack down on the table you have to be the first one to slap it. You just keep watching for a jack card and be the first one to slap it if you keep doing that you will win.

The Train Robbery

Shoot the riders as they ride from left to right. Avoid being shot. The concentration carbonate does not work well here. You should have the Spud Shooter from the contest in Dos Cactos, rather than the Pea Shooter. You have to hold them off for one minute, which is normally about 8 or 9 outlaws.

Start at the back of the train (go far left). When the bandits come (usually they will ride slow at first and then it will get slightly harder) do NOT double click to shoot them down. It slows down the mouse and you will lose (only do it if it's an emergency like they almost make it to the front of the train).

Instead, follow them with the mouse and shoot them with one spud at a time (practice makes perfect) and be sure to hit the reload button after they are hit and go back. Return quickly left to the rear of the train.

Some rounds are easier than others. When the riders are farther back and riding quickly, they are hard to shoot. Every once in a while there is an easier round where they ride slower than in some other rounds.

In the Hideout

Use the Transparency Tonic to sneak in. You will have to shoot 4 items in the room, each of which drives a gang member out into the open. You should shoot at all of the visible outlaws to keep them from shooting at you.

From left to right, the items are:

- bag of coins

- candle flame

- musket gun

- root beer jug

You can freeze the outlaws using the concentration carbonate to shoot them. When you beat the last one, El Mustachio Grande makes a run for it. Follow him on your horse and lasso him, then lead him back to Diamond Plains and jail.

To win at Slap Jack (Poptropica version), you have to be the first to get 24 cards before the other 3 players do. To play the game, you have to try to slap a jack before anyone else. You get the whole pile if you slap it first. But you can't get tricked. If you do get tricked, you have to give the one who tricked you one of your cards.
