I believe the simple Sunday School teaching "God is Love". Yeshua (Jesus is a Greek name, I believe Yeshua or Joshua is closer to something the rabbi would have recognized) taught that to Love one another as we Love ourselves was the primary commandment. War and ethnic cleansing are the opposite of Love. I believe God is repelled by these actions.

What is an example of ethnic cleansing?

Ethnic cleansing is the involuntary removal of an ethnic group from a territory, in order to create a homogenous population. Ethnic cleansing sometimes happens without much violence, but it usually entails widespread attacks on a community in order to drive them out, and it always involves at least the threat of force. Note that ethnic cleansing is somewhat different from genocide; unlike genocide, which is usually committed by a government, ethnic cleansing can be committed by small groups without much organization. More importantly, genocide has the objective of wiping out an ethnic grouping, while ethnic cleansing seeks to expel a group, by whatever means. Ethnic cleansing and related crimes were committed by many of the factions involved in the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s, by the Nazis in much of occupied Europe and the Imperial Japanese in the South Pacific during World War II, by a number of factions in the Caucasus Mountain region during the various post-Soviet conflicts there, and on a smaller scale by Israeli settlers in the Palestinian Territories in recent decades.

What ethnic group was killed in the ethnic cleansing of Turkey?

There have been several ethnic cleansings/genocides in modern Turkish history. The largest was the Armenian Genocide with 1.8 million Armenians murdered. There were also a number of massacres of Greek civilians during the Balkan Wars and the War of Turkish Independence. During the 1980s to the present, there has been repression and cultural cleansing of the Kurds. (However, the Kurds were not murdered en masse, so there was no ethnic cleansing per se.)

What is the bosnian war?

An event in Bosnia, similar to the War in Kosovo, that involved "ethnic cleansing" against Muslims by the Serbians in the area that led to the involvement of the UN and the US. The war in Serbia pushed 2.7 million refugees into the surrounding countries and it killed an estimated 25,000-329,000 people. This war resulted from the breakup of Yugoslavia which led to the "ethnic cleansing" by the Serbians on the Bosniaks (Muslims that lived in Bosnia) and the Croats.

What effect did ethnic cleansing have on the people of Serbia?

They didn't practice Ethnic cleansing. That is just a rumor Croatia and Bosnia made up when in fact Croatia was the one killing all serbian people except boys under the age of 10 and converted them into catholics and taught them to become "croatians" and fight against their people. And that is how the croatian people were created. For the charges Serbia and Bosnia are accused for is the ethnic cleansing which is false on both sides. It was war and it is normal that people were going to die, they just had to make the story a little more dramatic. My nationality is Serbian and I study the History of Serbia and the politics.

What is the difference between a genocide holocaust and ethnic cleansing?

"Ethnic Cleansing" would be considered a propaganda term used by Hitler in order to meet his final goal of an Aryan race. Genocide is the proper name given to this type of mass murder. Used by Public Relations to show that it was not just sending others out of the country and such. During the war, around 6,000,000 Jews died.

Extensive ethnic cleansing occurred in the Balkans during the late 1990s, particularly during the Kosovo War from 1998 to 1999. This campaign led to a significant humanitarian crisis, with hundreds of thousands of people fleeing to neighboring countries.
