How does shadow the hedgehog die?

He doesn't. In Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Shadow passes out and falls into the earth's atmosphere but during the final battle in the Shadow the Hedgehog video game, Eggman reveals that Shadow was rescued by one of his robots.

*I don't think shadow dies, I think he just disappeared while saving the world. I cried when I figured out that he was gone*Sob*. But he did it all for Maria. But actually he just disappeared the first time with the Space Colony Ark, but the next time when Cosmo died he died too. How? He didn't die. Shadow was saved by Dr. Eggman's robot which it truly happened in Sonic Adventure 2 which the game Shadow starred in told us.
