How long does it take to have a baby on the Sims 3 Pets?

If you check into the age tab when in Live mode, I think there's a meter that tells you how much longer it will be until your baby is born. Otherwise it's random. Be prepared to take your sim to the hospital as well!

In the original Sims game, you need to select the "play in bed" option with another sim when the vibrating bed is turned on. You will randomly be asked if you want to have a baby afterwards, and if you select yes the baby will immediately appear near the bed.

A few days. About 5 until they get the kid. First nothing happens but then they get 2 days of work before and after the birth. They also get pregnancy clothing and can ask people to "listen to tummy"
