Well I am ( well going to try) going to be a rollercoaster designer when I grow up, so I use RollerCoaster Tycoon 1, 2 and 3 a lot and I know that in the 3rd game a second is a minute so maybe you can figure it out with a calculator
I tried timing a few days myself and i found that 1 day = 27 seconds, so if i calculated it correctly, 1 rct year = 2 hours, 44 minutes and 15 seconds (for the original rct at least)
They did not stop making games, it's just taking them a long time for number 4.

In Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, the Shift key is used to facilitate the building process. Holding down the Shift key while placing rides, paths, or scenery allows you to create multiple items in a row without having to select each item again. This makes it easier to construct long paths or duplicate ride types efficiently. Additionally, you can use it to fine-tune the placement of objects for better alignment.
