How many games are in the Assassin's Creed series?

There are four Assassins Creed games out so far and I'm not sure if there is going to be another AC game but like all of you i am hoping there is.

For PlayStation 3 (PS3) , Xbox360 and PC there is Assassin's Creed 1, Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed Revelations and Assassin's Creed 3 coming out soon. Assassin's Creed 3 will also be coming out on the Wii U. For PlayStation Portable (PSP), there is Assassin's Creed Bloodlines. For the new PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) you can get Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation. For Nintendo DS (DS) you can get Assassin's creed 1.
