∙ 11y agoThe three types of tides are diurnal tides (one high tide and one low tide each day), semi-diurnal tides (two high tides and two low tides each day), and mixed tides (where there are two high tides and two low tides, but the heights vary).
Two high tides and two low tides a day are referred to as a semidiurnal tide pattern. This pattern consists of two high tides and two low tides of approximately equal height each day.
2 high tides
Each tides last 6 hour.
Lunar tides and solar tides partially cancel each other out. (During high tides, they work together)
An area will experience 2 High tides and 2 low tides

6. There are 12 hours between high tides and low tides occur "exactly" halfway between them.
High tides usually occur twice each day due to the gravitational forces of the moon and sun. These forces create bulges in the Earth's oceans, resulting in high tides every 12 hours and 25 minutes approximately.
The two types of tides are spring tides and neap tides. Spring tides occur when the sun, moon, and Earth are in alignment, creating higher high tides and lower low tides. Neap tides happen when the sun and moon are at right angles to each other, resulting in less extreme high and low tides.
