Actually it doesnt matter. I had my parents play it first because it has cartoon smooching and sex but it doesnt show anything!! It really depends. it recommends teens to play but i started at about the age of 8. just ask ur parents and have them play :) hope i helped!

I would probably say it would be okay. I started playing the sims when I was eight. It can be a little innapropriate but for the most part it is just building a house and living a life. It kind of depends on which expansion pack[s] you get. I love the sims and I am goiong to buy all of the games. I have the sims 2 double deluxe PC which includes the sims 2, the sims 2 nightlife, and the sims 2 celebration stuff

The sims 3 has way new modern requirements. Like I got sims 3 a few days ago, and my computer won't run it and it's only a couple years old if that. I had no problem with sims 2, so my bet is you could probably play sims 2 but not 3
