Here's a very neat tactic to fight him with a LS. Don't attack him straight on face to face. Instead come from the side of this face at a 90 degree angle and do a downward slash two times to reach his head and if he doesn't flinch, roll quickly away and repeat this.
If he does flinch, return back and finish him off with some combos in the head then repeat.
You can almost become invisible from all of his hits if you master this tactic.
P.S.

In Monster Hunter Freedom, you can find Light Crystals in areas like the Snowy Mountains and the Tower. Mining points and gathering spots in these areas have a chance of yielding Light Crystals. They can also be obtained as quest rewards for completing certain quests.
Hiring a skip lorry is not always easy. Whether or not you can hire one at all is going to depend on where you live. With that said, some companies you can go to include Skip and Bin, and MHF.
a change from liquid to solid or solid to liquid will require the use of the formula of Heat of Fusion , q=mHf where m is the mass and Hf = 334J/g, this is standard so you wont have to look for how it came about. In this case the m=5.00g so: q = m Hf q=(5.00g)(334 J/g) , you notice the grams will cancel out. q = 1670 J.
