A few more tips:

Type in bot_kick to allow all bots to quit game when you are playing.

Type in bot_kill to kill the bots and continue to the next round. (If you are the only human player)

In CS:S and CS:CZ, there are bots built into the game client, so you could easily start a game against bots. In CS 1.7 you would need to download 3rd party bots.
