Getting Age 5 is simple. First of all you have to be playing in Supremacy mode. To do this, when you are creating a new Home City, choose Supremacy mode. YOU CANNOT GET AGE 5 IN DEATHMATCH! Then while you are playing a game of age of empires 3 with that home city, when you have reached age four, you can get age 5 by clicking the V (5 in roman numerals) button. then choose your politician and pay 4000 food and 4000 gold, and you will advance to the imperial age (age 5)
