I use my ps3 and laptop on my home connection and when i use my laptop while on the PSN with PS3 the PS3's connection breaks or becomes laggy does anyone know how to fix this or give PS3 priority?

You have low bandwidth. There is nothing you can do, just don't use your laptop at the same time.

I converted to a wired system from wireless with a 50 foot CAT 6 ethernet cable I purchased on EBAY for only $20 and no longer have a lost or difficult connection problems and the connection speeds now test way higher on the PS3 connection test.
