Yes, I think the mind can definitely create its own reality. Of course this mostly has to do with dreaming. I can recall several times that I have been eager to go to bed so I can enter the dream world. However your imagination, if properly motivated, can create people, places, and or things into anything it wishes to see it as. The human mind is a very deep and complicated study, and I think that if you research this further you will discover just how much we are capable of doing.
