No you can not. You can not make a PS3 play a PS2 game if it was not already backward compatibly
No you can not download and play PS2 games that way.
If the ps3 has backwards compatibility. The only ps3 system that will play a ps2 disk. (not a burned or copied disk) The 20gb and 60gb and 80gb will work. The ps2 system data is a download off of the play station store. This download won't work on the ps3 slim. I download the ps2 system data file off of the play station store. Then after I download the ps2 system data folder. I putted the ps2 disk (not copied or burned) in the ps3 slim and it didn't work. The only ps3 that will play a ps2 game has to have 4 usb ports. If the ps3 has 2 usb ports it won't work. Every ps3 model will play a ps1 game. If you have a ps2 a ps1 game will play on it. The 80gb ps3 doesn't play as many ps2 games as the 60 and 20gb ps3 do. The 20gb and 60gb play the most ps2 games.
You can not download any quick fix to have a PS3 play PS2 games.
The PS2 plays games on discs and burnt games do not work with a the PS2

Nope. Ya need to mod ya ps2 to play downloaded games
No it is a myth that you can just download something and be able to play PS2 games, another part of this myth is that it was available from the PlayStation store.
If you're asking if you can download data on a PC to allow the PS3 to play PS2 games the answer is no. I mean I have never hear of anything and it seems if it were possible someone out there would be trying to sell it.
No it is not free to download PS2 games unto a PS3. Most PS3 can not even play PS2 games but even the old 4 USB Port PS3s that can play the PS2 games can not download them for free. Even the old PS1 games that the PS3 can play are sold at the Playstation Store. Sometimes Playstation Plus customers are offered free games that expire with there Playstation Plus membership

No Sony says if you have a PS3 that will not play PS2 games there is no hardware or software you can purchase to allow it to play PS2 games. Nothing you can download or modify will allow a PS3 to Play PS2 games except for the first models with 4 USB ports
