If you use a game shark to get Sora from kingdom hearts to level 255 will he still gain abilities?

I have a GameShark and did that, and although I've been desperately trying to find a way to fix this problem, the answer is NO. Except for abilities like strike raid, Ragnarok, sonic blade, ars arcanum, etc.
