Not Actually. But it is useful for fire through walls. When you fire on a wall without Deep Impact, the bullet won't penetrate the other side of the wall. But if you use Deep Impact, then it will do. For example, you've noticed somebody taking cover behind a wall or something. If you fire on that wall or cover with Deep Impact, the bullet will hurt him. But it can penetrate only one layer of cover and may not penetrate the target if he gets a distance from the cover. If you're looking for improving damage of your weapon then take 'Stopping Power' at Perk 2. If you like high damage weapons, then you can try these - AK-47, MP-44, RPD, AK-74u, R700 etc.
