A cooked grenade is when a player holds the grenade for a short length of time (up to three seconds) before throwing it. You can see your crosshairs bounce for each second it is being "cooked." This ensures that the opponent is unable to throw the grenade back. This does not work with semtex grenades, only frag grenades.
Beware overcooking your grenade. It may explode in your hand or not far from your hand.
