You saw the stones of loveless right? Go back and make sure you read every single one. Then go to that lake and you'll see those pillars of lifestream. Approach them and click. You'll fight one of the experiments. Fight all of them and a path will appear. Go into the path and explore for a while...this will take a very long time if you don't want to miss anything. Eventually, you'll get to the monster. This part of the game is the last part. Collect all 7 of the goddess materia and go to that area with all the plants and stuff..place the materia in the pedestal at the bottom and fight one of the genesis copies, almost exactly like the one you fought on the bridge that ate your hair. Afterwards, you go into the light, beat genesis, cutscenes, one really stupid mini battle that has no point because you're gonna die anyway, so you don't have to use potions or heal...just run around and kill stuff...and then Zack dies...credits, then you can restart the game with all of your items and materia, but you don't get to keep summons and some other stuff.
