Is BioShock a good game

In my opinion Bioshock is an incredible game! With an engaging storyline,fun shooting mechanics,and great RPG elements. However I must warn that this is not a game for children below the age of 13 there are some creepy parts and scary scenes but if you can take this minor setback i recommend this game 100%.

Bio-shock is minorly popular. Other games might interest you more like majorly popular Modern Warfare 2, Halo 3 (ODST), or Gears of War 2. Bio-shock is rated a 7/10 by many people, but it has very good reviews you should research it more on other sites to see reviews or other ratings.

While not a futuristic Sci-Fi, BioShock is a Sci-Fi game set in 1960 in a fictional underwater city called "Rapture". Built in the late 1940's, Rapture was meant to be a place where people could express themselves within their field of specialty without restraint. While originally meant to be somewhat Utopian, it's only a matter of time before a system like that is taken advantage of. "Plasmids" are developed that change (or splice) DNA, giving the user the ability to light things (or people) on fire with a flick of their finger, electrocute someone, or throw objects telekinetically. The cities inhabitants are soon changed by over-splicing. Rapture is found nearly abandoned and in total disarray by the time the player discovers it. With allies few and far between, you must piece together the horrifying truths of Rapture while attempting to escape.

"Good" is an extremely relative term. The game received excellent reviews, with a 9/10 on Gamespot and a Metacritic score of 96/100.

It was one of the few games of its time that really went beyond the generic dark corridors and waves of monsters that other Horror games seemed to almost solely consist of. The dark and involved story line has more than a few turns and twists and features an eerie, retro setting, some sadistic and crazed enemies, and an arsenal of physical and elemental weaponry.

It's recommended to anyone who enjoys a First Person Shooter with a twisted plot.
