100% NOT appropriate for children under 18. There is strong language, blood and violence. Especially while playing online. Online play is not rated and many people use offensive language. Do NOT buy this game for a child.

It was not designed for children, but was designed for adults and has not only adult language but words that are at the adult reading level. The strategy is also sometimes way above the childhood level and it is like a 12 year old playing Chess many can do it but few do it with the ability of adults. That said the number of kids already playing make the adult level of everything less of a problem than if it were actually restricted to adults.

It depends on the type of kid it is. If it is a kid who gets scared easily, then Call of Duty isn't the game for them. But if it's a kid who enjoys these type of games, then there should be no problem of them playing it.

No! It is a very violent game that will likely inflict psychological damage on your child! You should choose a different game for your child, such as MarioKart. Or, even better, encourage them to play a sport!

no, i would not recommend this game to children as it is from the age of 18 but if you don't really care then yeah sure..

In Europe Black Ops carries an 18's and over certification.
