It depends on how into the game you are. I went ahead and picked it up myself. It is a faux leather book, that comes inside a slip cover. There is a gold hero's seal on the cover, and a strap with a magnetic button to keep it closed. When you open it, the game is inside, in a "velvet" lined cut out, in a regular 360 style case. The game case contains code cards for a new quest (Wolf's Bane), a new regions (Hunter's Lodge), potions, an outfit, a different dog breed (a boxer), and some tattoos. There is a compartment at the bottom of the box that contains a collector's guild seal, with good and evil alignments, and a deck of Fable 3 playing cards. Each card is printed to appear like something from the game.

I bought the collectors edition myself, and this is an opinion but i wasn't satisfied with the collectors edition. The game itself is fantastic, definatley one of my new favorite games. But spending the extra money to by the collectors edition i wouldn't recommend.
