No! It is not bloody at all. One of the many things I love about this series is that I can play it in front of my kid without worrying about gore (Dragon Age, on the other hand...)

While the latter ones in the series do have actual contact between combatants, the first ones had the amusing protagonist steps forward and swings his sword, two seconds go by, the enemy that was no where close to where the sword was swung will "flinch" and lose HP. Even the most recent ones though are still free of blood.
