Is Lord of the Rings online fun?

It really depends on what you would call fun. For instance, you click on a enemy to select them and then click an attack.

It depends on what sort of game play you prefer such as strategy, role playing, simulation, etc... The Lord of the Rings Online is considered an online role playing game.

Yes it is very fun. if your not a VIP it is more work but it gets a lot more fun after level 20 here's a hint don't give up on it the higher level you are the more fun it becomes.
