You don't... it's a first-person shooter just like all of the other Call of Duty games, if you want a game where you can switch between first and third person you should buy Fallout 3 or The Elder Scrolls 4 & 5.
According to what you like, a good first person shooter may be anything. May I reccomend COD5, MOD2, Halo:ODST, Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead these are all very good games and I reccomend that you get all If not one of them
