Depends on your definition of rip off. They're in it to make profit, and you're getting either money or credit to spend. They are not going to give you new game value, or even market value as they have to resell the game, and there is no profit for them to buy it and sell it at the same price. Further what if the game they bought from you never sells? They're out the money you gained. You aren't technically being ripped off, but you aren't getting a golden deal either, it's all economics and business.
