Is the Sims 3 kid friendly?

MySims is very different than THE Sims. MySims has much cuter characters, in a sort of chibi form. It's a building game like The Sims, in that you can build houses for characters, but you also get to build different objects that go inside the houses. MySims has no "relationships" besides friendship, and brief mentions of crushes in dialouge. It was made for kids that couldn't really play The Sims because of "adult" stuff. I think that it's an excellent game for kids, but it can be somewhat challenging when you're building intricate objects.
